For years the small Jewish community in Bristol has kept a low profile. In recent years a real feeling of unease has prevailed as a result of the viciousness in which the media and so called local 'peace activists' have potrayed Israel. read full story / add a comment

Should there be a demo against Armed Forces Day on June 26 in Cardiff? The second British Armed Forces Day is being held in Cardiff on June the 26th. This is, of course, a state militarist parade justifying the crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq, promoting the patriotic poison amongst the general public which largely does not support the war. top CON-DEM politicians are of course going to be at this event. http://www.armedforcesday.org.uk/National.aspx read full story / add a comment

A few days ago we published a list of facts in regards to Israels position on the flottilla incident titled 'Flotilla Facts' Unfortunately Bristol Indymedia removed it after only two days. This is censorship of the worst kind and only allows one point of view to be aired. SHAME ON YOU! read full story / add a comment

Two Bristol people are currently on-board a flotilla of eight boats carrying thousands of tons of aid to Gaza. The boats are currently anchored off Cyprus and were expected to proceed toward the Gaza coast later today. However Israel has vowed its navy will stop the flotilla using “force”. The Israeli military is planning to intercept the flotilla and tow the ships to the Israeli port of Ashdod where all those on-board will be deported. A stand-off seems likely to develop – watch this space for updates. For latest news of the flotilla with continual live TV broadcasting see:- http://www.ihh.org.tr It is probable the Israelis will attempt to jam communications when the ships approach the coast For postings see also:- www.irishingaza.wordpress.com www.freegaza.org, (with twitter page) www.witnessgaza.com www.GazaBoatConvoy.co.uk read full story / add a comment

On December the 4th 2009 the 'Bristol to Gaza' truck and ambulances set off to London, joining up with the rest of the UK convoy consisting of hundreds of vehicles and volunteers. These convoy heroes came back to tell of the horrors of life in post-bombarded Gaza. News stifled by our media, and that certain people, even on this website, constantly belittle, deny and spin with such alacrity that one wonders if they are not in constant touch with the spin-master generals, "Middle East Peace Envoy" Anthony Lynton B'Liar and Alistair Campbell. Very shortly another convoy is about to be launched..... read full story / add a comment

The occupation of Afghanistan and other aspects of the so-called 'war on terror' have been largely absent from the general election campaign. Despite (or because) the vast majority of people thinking that British troops should be brought home from Afghanistan, the major parties have avoided speaking about the issue at every opportunity. Many voters want to know where candidates stand. Stop The War nationally drew up seven questions to gauge candidates' views. read full story / add a comment
