![]() Bristol Smokers Alliance notes the complete failure of The Government's Stop October initiative, where many smokers re-doubled their smoking in protest at this atrocious example of bullying by another means. The Alliance notes/approves excellent efforts by many of the Bigger Bars on the Gloucester Road to accommodate Smokers and make their lives more comfortable, and has received assurances from two of the Bristol Mayoral candidates that they will not act to penalize smoking if elected. Needless to say the Tory candidate was not one of these. The Alliance's Awards for Best Bar on the Gloucester Road this month are: 1. The Blue Lagoon 2. Halos 3. Cafe Grounded
All of these bars have made excellent efforts in this respect to promote an atmosphere of Live and Let Live, which is in keeping with the justifiable and legitimate aims of the Alliance.
