FFA was formed in May 2000 by a group of farmers who were disillusioned by the ineffectiveness of the organisations representing their industry i.e. the NFU and their Tory friends.

The Robert Wiseman Dairy processing plant off junction 24 of the M5 near Bridgwater in Somerset was blockaded by more than 200 farmers with their tractors on Thursday night.

I was brought up and worked on a small tenanted diary farm. My brother ran the farm until he was forced out because he could no longer make living milking cows.
